Yosemite Tours from San Franicsco are the most traveled ways to get to the Yosemite valley floor. That's because SFO and Oakland airports are probably the closest and easiest to get the Yosemite. San Francisco Shuttle Tours operates a tour from the Ferry Building called the Yosemite Tour Shuttle. It uses a fully luxury shuttle that only holds up to 26 passengers, plus luggage.

You have two options for Yosemite Tours:

1) Yosemite 1 Day Tour - usually about 14 hours from San Francisco. Price is about $135 for adult.

2) Yosemite 2 Day Tour - where you will stay at one of the following hotels (or even campgrounds): Yosemite Cedar Lodge, Yosemite View Lodge (same company owns both of these hotels). These hotels are about 30-45 minutes from the valley floor. Or The Ahwahnee Hotel or Yosemite Lodge at the Falls Hotel on the valley floor, which means virtually no driving to your hotel. The Ahwahnee is where Steve Jobs got married, so you can pretty much assume it's an expensive hotel at about $500-$600 per night. Whereas Yosemite Lodge at the Falls is reasonable at $220 per night (but there is a catch....it's booked up a year in advance because of its awesome price). You can also stay on the Yosemite Valley Floor (which we think is important and you will wish you did) at Curry Village and rent a tent cabin for about $100 per night where you will sleep on clean sheets and get a clean towel. Also, Yosemite Shuttle Tours offers Yosemite Tours where they will actually rent you a tent and buy you a brand new sleeping bag with their tours, that pretty much only adds about $40 per night per person added to the the 2 day tour price.
